Biography

George Wisegarver was among the western Pennsylvania men taken into federal custody during the suppression of the Whiskey Rebellion of 1794. Captured in the Bedford County militia operation October 20, 1794; committed at Philadelphia October 29, 1794; released on bail during February 25 to 27, 1795.
