George Sexton

Conservation director and forest-defense activist arrested at the Biscuit timber sales in Oregon and prosecuted under ORS 164.886 ("Interfering with Agricultural Operations"), a law used against dozens of nonviolent forest defenders. As an appellant represented by the CLDC, he helped win a 2014 Oregon Court of Appeals ruling that struck down the entire statute as unconstitutional. (No standing conviction stated; the law was voided.)
