Biography

Floyd Ramp, a founder of the U.S. Communist Party from Roseburg, Oregon, was sentenced to two years in prison for conspiracy to obstruct the draft. He served in McNeil Island and Leavenworth Penitentiaries from February 1918 to December 1919. In 1921, the FBI described Ramp as "one of the most notorious radicals in the entire country."
