Ernest Palmer was one of six young workers, one of the six young demonstrators, who leapt the railing at the closing of the 1932 Los Angeles Olympic Games on 14 August to demand freedom for Tom Mooney; convicted of "disturbing the peace," each was given the maximum 270 days in jail.
