Biography
Eric Oseland was one of eight defendants known as the RNC 8 who were accused of plotting to disrupt the Republican National Convention in 2008 in downtown St. Paul. Their homes were raided as part of the Patriot Act despite lack of evidence that they planned to do anything, let alone any violent act. All were preemptively arrested prior to the RNC and falsely charged in response to their political organizing. The ACLU condemned their arrests.
