Biography
Elizabeth Moos was an educator and a co-defendant of W. E. B. Du Bois in the 1951 prosecution of the officers of the Peace Information Center, which had circulated the Stockholm peace appeal against nuclear weapons. Indicted in February 1951 for failing to register as agents of a foreign principal, she was handcuffed and booked; the defendants were acquitted when the trial finally collapsed in November 1951.
