Biography

Effie May Boutwell Main, later Roussell (August 25, 1878 - March 31, 1950), was a member of the National Woman's Party and one of the "Silent Sentinels" imprisoned during the 1917-1919 campaign to picket the Wilson White House for woman suffrage.

She was sentenced to ten days and served August 15 to 20, 1918, released early with the rest of that group. An earlier version of this record dated the term to August 10, 1918.
