Biography

Edward Yellin was a former Gary, Indiana steelworker and University of Illinois graduate fellow convicted of contempt of Congress and sentenced to a year in jail for refusing, at a 1958 HUAC hearing in Gary, to answer questions about his politics. His case became Yellin v. United States.
