Edgecomb Pinchon was prosecuted under United States wartime statutes of the World War I era (chiefly the Espionage Act, the Sedition Act, or the Selective Service Act). Recorded offense: Violation of the Espionage Act. Sentence: 2 years. Sentenced August 31, 1918. Held at the McNeil Island. Later disposition: Paroled from McNeil Island.
