Biography

Chief of Staff of the Black Panther Party during its peak years. Hilliard was prosecuted under federal law for allegedly threatening the life of President Richard Nixon in a November 1969 anti-war speech in San Francisco. He later served time on assault charges from the 1968 Oakland shootout and went on to lead the Huey P. Newton Foundation.
