Biography

The Rev. David Andrews was a Methodist minister who on Dec. 12, 1961 knelt at the White House fence in a 'direct act of civil disobedience' demanding the release of the imprisoned Morton Sobell. Ordered to move and refusing, he was arrested, and was freed in court the next day.
