Biography

Chaim Leib Weinberg was a Philadelphia Jewish anarchist, cloakmakers'-union organizer, and popular Yiddish-language orator in the city's immigrant labor movement. He was arrested with Voltairine de Cleyre in Philadelphia on February 20, 1908 and charged with inciting to riot, held under $1,500 bail, in the prosecution arising from an unemployed demonstration.
