Biography

Carlos Gamarra-Murillo, age 54, U.S. citizen, worked as a weapons broker for FARC and was caught in an Immigration and Customs Enforcement sting in 2005. He had attempted to trade 4,400 pounds of cocaine for M-60 machine guns, grenade launchers, M-16 rifles, and other weapons in a $4 million deal with undercover agents in Tampa, Florida. Pleaded guilty in 2005; 300 months federal prison plus 3 years supervised release.
