Biography
Carlos Espriu, 23, of Palm Desert, CA was charged with attempted arson in the May 31, 2020 firebombing of the East Valley Republican Women Federated (EVRWF) office in La Quinta, CA. Espriu used a metal baseball bat to break windows at the EVRWF headquarters, then lit an improvised incendiary device of three bottles and tossed them through the windows before fleeing. He returned twice — once to retrieve the Molotovs, once to throw them, igniting a fire. Sentenced to 60 months federal prison plus $5,426 restitution.
