Biography

Carlos Calderon was a Brown Beret and an editor of El Barrio, a section of San Diego's Street Journal. He was one of Los Tres de San Diego prosecuted in 1970–71. A San Diego Reader history records actual confinement and release after newspaper colleagues raised bail. Accounts disagree about the prosecution's final outcome, so his individual disposition and exact custody duration remain unresolved.

Case

Charges: Criminal syndicalism and solicitation of murder in the Los Tres de San Diego prosecution
Sentence: Held before release on bail in the 1970 prosecution. The Reader reports dismissal of all charges; defense organizer Arthur J. Miller describes pleas by two unnamed defendants on a remaining firebomb charge. Calderon's individual final disposition is unverified.
