Cal Robertson was a Hartford Catholic Worker arrested in the July 2, 1999 sit-in at Senator Joseph Lieberman's Hartford office to protest U.S. sanctions on Iraq. Sentenced to 30 days.
On July 2, 1999, the Lieberman Five - Hartford Catholic Workers - held a sit-in at Senator Joseph Lieberman's Hartford office to protest U.S. sanctions on Iraq, ringing a bell every twelve minutes for an Iraqi child who had died from sanctions-related malnutrition. Most received 30-day jail sentences served at the Carl Robinson Correctional Institution in Enfield, Connecticut.
