Biography

Berthe Louise Arnold Knorr (June 14, 1896 - December 30, 1968) was a Colorado Springs schoolteacher, a member of the National Woman's Party, and one of the "Silent Sentinels" imprisoned during the 1917-1919 campaign to picket the Wilson White House for woman suffrage.

Arrested on January 19, 1919, she had her sentence suspended and was not jailed. Rearrested on January 24, she was sentenced on January 25 to five days. The exact release date is unresolved; January 30 appears in some accounts but is only the calculated end of the sentence, not a documented discharge.
