Biography

Bernhard Deutch, a former University of Pennsylvania student, was one of eight people whose contempt-of-Congress convictions for refusing to answer the House Un-American Activities Committee were pending before the U.S. Court of Appeals in 1958, alongside those of Arthur Miller, John T. Gojack and others.
