Biography

Benjamin Saltzman was a foreign-born resident arrested for deportation under the McCarran-Walter Act in the Cold War crackdown on the foreign-born; his wife, a Gold Star mother, testified on his behalf before the Subversive Activities Control Board. He was defended by the American Committee for Protection of Foreign Born.
