Biography

In February 1966, 19-year-old Barry Bondhus of Big Lake, Minnesota, dumped two buckets of human feces (collected by him and his eleven brothers) into the 1-A files at the Elk River draft board, in what became known as 'the Big Lake One' and is often cited as the first draft-board raid of the movement. He was convicted of destroying government property and interfering with the Selective Service and served about 14 months in federal prison.
