Biography

Anne Henrietta Martin (September 30, 1875 - April 15, 1951), also recorded as Anna or Annie Martin and occasionally under the pseudonym Anne O’Hara, was a member of the National Woman’s Party and one of the "Silent Sentinels" imprisoned during the 1917-1919 campaign to picket the Wilson White House for woman suffrage.

She was arrested on July 14, 1917 and sentenced to sixty days at the Occoquan Workhouse. President Wilson pardoned the July 14 prisoners on July 17, so she was in custody about three days.
