Biography
Dr. Anna Louise Kuhn (April 13, 1859 - October 6, 1934) was a Maryland physician who took part in the 1917-1919 National Woman’s Party campaign to picket the Wilson White House for woman suffrage.
She was arrested on August 6, 1918 at Lafayette Square and released on bail.
Stevens’s appendix additionally records a November 1917 arrest and a thirty-day sentence, but Irwin’s November 10 roster does not contain her name, and the appendix does not identify whether such a sentence was served at the District Jail or at Occoquan or give discharge dates. That term is therefore described here but not recorded as a case with dates.
