Alfred Buzzi

Alfred Buzzi was a conscientious objector from Massachusetts imprisoned during World War I. Court-martialed for refusing military service, he was held at Fort Leavenworth; Fort Douglas. Sentenced to 15 years in prison - reduced to 4 years. (Documented in the Swarthmore College Peace Collection's World War I Conscientious Objectors database.) Archival note: classifed as a 3, later as 7B; interviewed, on charge of disobedience of orders, at Deavers and on Feb. 5, 1919 at the Disciplinary Barracks by Special Board; sentenced to 15 years in prison - reduced to 4 years; imprisoned at Ft.
