Biography

On August 12, 2010, anti-war activists Ahlam Mohsen and Max Kantar threw cherry pies at U.S. Senator Carl Levin (D-MI), then chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee, at a public event in Big Rapids, Michigan, in protest of his role in U.S. drone warfare against civilians in Yemen. Both pleaded guilty to anti-war charges and were sentenced to 30 days in federal custody beginning August 30, 2011.
