Biography

Agustin Aguayo was a US Army combat medic who sought release as a conscientious objector and refused a second deployment to Iraq. Amnesty International recognized him as a prisoner of conscience during his imprisonment by the US military.

Sentenced March 6, 2007 to eight months, with credit for pretrial detention. Amnesty confirms actual release April 18, 2007. The sentence and pretrial credit are not counted twice.
