Biography
Mary Agnes Hosmer Morey (October 25, 1868 - March 28, 1924) was a member of the National Woman’s Party and one of the "Silent Sentinels" imprisoned during the 1917-1919 campaign to picket the Wilson White House for woman suffrage.
She was arrested on November 10, 1917. After the original cases were dismissed on November 12 she rejoined the renewed picketing and was held again on November 13. She was sentenced on November 14 to thirty days and transferred to the Occoquan Workhouse on November 15. She was released in the unconditional discharge of the remaining suffrage prisoners on November 27 and 28, about thirteen or fourteen days into the sentence.
