Resistance Conspiracy Case defendant Dr. Alan Berkman's arraignment statement framing his armed actions as resistance to U.S. government atrocities in Central America, Southern Africa, and at home. Berkman, suffering from Hodgkin's Disease, would nearly die several times in federal custody due to deliberately withheld medical treatment.
