In a letter to the John Brown Anti-Klan Committee, Laura Whitehorn constructively critiques a consistent political problem present in their Death to the Klan! newspaper. Whitehorn states that DTTK! fails to support the struggle of Black people for self-determination- the right of New Afrikan/Afro-American people to land and independence. And because of this failure, she thinks the papers also suffers from a weakness in failing to wage a direct struggle against white supremacy.
